We supported the National Garden Railways Convention during the Vendor Hall open hours; of
course, there was a lot of other convention activity, for example layout tours in local
gardens. Our erected railway was a little restricted due to the space allotted; the trackplan
was a curves-only, no straight, oval, with a single staging siding for each of the inner and
outer steamup sidings. Since there was no public, just the conventioneers, the sightseers
came as a steady, albeit sparse, stream. Below are a few of the locomotives and trains that
ran over the three daily sessions.

Here is the usual beginning, the railway being not quite complete in this image, it was the
day before the official running started. The unused straights were setup for train storage. As
can be seen, the Vendor Hall is somewhat lacking in lighting, which resulted in even more
out-of-focus images than usual.
